I am interested in a logo for a museum called "Steel Wheels & Steam" which will showcase southern steam engines and shortline railroads.
I would like a logo that incorporates a steam engine wheel, and steam, and suggests movement.
It can be an abstract design- it does not have to be literal.
It should not, however, be busy- I want something that has clean lines.
I picture a steam engine wheel- literal or figurative- in the center and "flourish" lines that suggest both steam and wheel movement.
The steam engine wheel should not look like a wagon wheel and it should include the counterweight.
The steam "flourish" around the wheel can be lines and/or include color.
Generally we use red, black, gold and white in our color schemes though I am open to a dark green.
Needs to be adaptable to being used in black and white and be appropriate for any size (ie business cards or entrance signs).
Needs to be professional and appropriate to a museum- ideally a combination of classic design and modern tastes.
