Magento connection manager issue

I upgraded to Magento ver. 1.3.2.3 and my magento connection manager is giving me an error.

When I try to install an extension I get a message saying: INVALID POST DATA

I know this is something to do with file permissions but couldn't get around.

It was working perfect before I upgraded.

I need to get this sorted asap.
