During press-tool try-out I keep seeing surface defects on our A-, B- and C-class skin panels. The trouble spots sit right in the aesthetic area, so every flaw is immediately visible. Practical press-shop skills—spotting, shimming, polishing—and familiarity with forming-simulation software such as AutoForm or Stampack will help you move quickly.
