Paper must be typed and in paragraph format. Times New Roman 11-12 Point Font, Double Spaced. Include headings for each Step. Example of a heading for Step 2 "Background of Company X." This paper should be 2 pages (do not exceed two pages) Work on honing your writing skills and only discussing key point think CLEAR and CONCISE. Marketing must be clear and concise, there is no room for “fluff,” do not waste time and money.
First think about a product or a service you enjoy using or one that interests you.
Step 1: Identify the product/service you have selected and discuss the company.
Provide a brief background on the product/service you have selected and on the company that produces the product (be sure to cite sources, such as the company itself if using information from it's website)
Step 2: Discuss the Target Market for this product. Who are your Customers?
What consumer group(s) are most likely to buy this product? Discuss the demographics of the group(s). Then discuss the 4 P’s (Product, Price, Place, Promotion).
What problem (customer’s need or want) does the product help solve?
How is the product priced?
How is the product promoted?
How is the product distributed (place)?
Step 3: SWOT Analysis. Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats
Complete a brief SWOT analysis for your selected company. Identify at least 2 items in each of the 4 sections (Strength and Weaknesses are internal, Opportunities and Threats are External). Use a Chart, but first introduce the chart in paragraph which explains what a SWOT analysis is and how to read chart.
