Marketing Research

Design and implementation of marketing research for a new product of your choice. This does not need to be a new innvention, a new shampoo or beer is fine. Please note it must be a qualitative study, i.e. data is to be collected using either focus groups or in-depth interviews Sample research report structure: (for guidance only) • Executive Summary • Introduction (in which the broad context of the subject of study is described) • Problem Definition • Research Design • Research Implementation and Analysis • Data Analysis and Results (excerpts from your transcripts) • Recommendations to management • Bibliography (of every reference in the body of the report) • Appendices, as appropriate The research report should be • 5,500 words excluding bibliography and any appendices. • Typed on white A4 paper fixed together with a staple. No folders or bindings are required. • Typed, in 12 pt. Times New Roman with line spacing set at 1½ lines, character spacing set at normal, justified • Pages numbered. • Free of spelling and grammatical errors. Ensure your work is proofed. • Properly referenced with all sources properly identified in the body of the text with a bibliography attached at the end, refer to the Harvard Style Guide. • DO NOT PLAGIARISE OR COPY INFORMATION FROM THE WEB. • Available to the examiner in electronic format, on request, after the date of submission until the reporting of marks to the exam board.
