Synchronous machines running as motors without any intentional mechanical load on the shaft can be used to generate reactive power. They are used in power systems as reactive power compensators to keep the voltage levels at selected buses within acceptable levels. Although capacitors compensators are much less costly , the dynamic behaviour of synchronous machines make the system more stable. The objective of this project is to determine the dynamic behaviour of synchronous machines and model the synchronous machine and the power system to predict the dynamic behaviour.
Project Timeline is 30- 45 days for the perfect outcomes of this. Need to be done PERFECTLY!
You need to model a power system which would be large.(infinite bus will be there at the end). There will be buses between the generator and infinite bus. These bus voltages should be at acceptable level even after different faults occurred and fault position-X/r ratio,load changes in buses should be studied in simulation . To make this stable situation you need to use Synchronous Condenser which is using to compensate reactive power only to the power system. With this synchronous condenser we must have to use Excitation system(AVR,PSS). In the main plant there will be Generator.
And YOU NEED TO do THE MATHEMATICAL MODELLING of Synchronous Condenser with respect to this system.

All results has to be shown mentioned in two papers by modelling a new large power system where there will be more buses...and all situation has to be shown for synchronous condenser,,,
