Introduction and Background

Our client is seeking proposals from qualified machine learning experts to develop a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) solution for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) of Arabic handwriting. Our organization has tested available open-source solutions, but the results were unsatisfactory, with accuracy rates below 20%. Our goal is to achieve an accuracy rate of 90-95%. We invite qualified vendors to submit proposals detailing their approach, experience, and capabilities in delivering a high-quality AI-driven OCR solution. It is important to note that we do not have any available datasets for this project, and vendors are expected to procure them as part of their proposed solution.

Project Description and Scope

The scope of this project includes the development, testing, and implementation of an AI-based OCR solution to accurately detect and recognize Arabic handwritten text. The project will involve:

a. Procuring diverse datasets of Arabic handwriting, including various styles, sizes, and levels of legibility.

b. Developing a machine learning model capable of recognizing Arabic handwritten text with a minimum accuracy rate of 90-95%.

c. Training the model on the procured datasets of Arabic handwriting.

d. Developing a user-friendly interface to facilitate the input and processing of handwritten Arabic text.

e. Testing the developed solution with real-world samples to ensure it meets the desired performance requirements.

f. Providing technical support, maintenance, and updates to the solution for a specified period.

Vendor Qualifications

Interested vendors should demonstrate:
