I am building a low-power (below 1 kW) drive system that blends a fuel cell, solar panel string and a battery into one regulated DC bus. This bus will feed an ESC that drives a BLDC motor, with the motor speed set by a simple potentiometer on the throttle input. My priority is long drive time (max durability), so the converter must seamlessly share power and manage energy among the three sources under these modes: fuel-cell-only, fuel cell + solar, fuel cell + battery, fuel cell + solar + battery, surplus-power battery charging, and regenerative recovery charging. I want the transitions to feel transparent to the load while always keeping the DC bus within the motor-safe limits. What I need from you • Complete multi-input DC-DC topology selection and sizing for the stated power level • Control strategy (hardware- or firmware-based) that allocates current from each source according to real-time availability and the durability goal • Working hardware Prototype • Schematic, bill of materials and magnetic component specs • Firmware or Simulink/MATLAB control blocks (if you prefer digital control) for the converter and ESC interface • Test plan that shows how you will validate each operating mode on the bench, including regenerative and surplus-charging cases • Brief user guide so I can reproduce the results and tune parameters later Acceptance criteria 1. Regulated DC output stays within ±3 % of its setpoint across all modes. 2. Source currents follow the commanded sharing ratios without overshoot that could harm the fuel cell. 3. BLDC runs smoothly from zero to full throttle using the potentiometer, with no audible cogging or dropout. 4. Battery charge/discharge currents respect standard Li-ion safety limits under both excess-power and regen conditions. I’m happy to answer detailed questions on the existing components and test bench so you can final-size the converter and control loop. Let’s make this small hybrid powertrain both robust and efficient.

Dear Sir/Madam, I have experience in designing low-power hybrid power systems, including multi-input DC-DC converters, battery integration, and BLDC motor drives. I can confidently design your fuel cell, solar, and battery-based DC bus system with proper power sharing, smooth transitions, and safe operation across all modes while maintaining stable bus regulation. I can deliver the complete solution including topology selection, control strategy (MATLAB/Simulink or firmware), schematic, component sizing, and a clear test plan for validation. Let’s connect in chat to discuss your components and finalize a practical and reliable design. I am ready to work with you, please connect in the chatbox for further discussions. Thank You. Dr. Divya.

I am a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with an M.S. in Power Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of experience in power electronics, embedded control systems, and MATLAB/Simulink modeling, directly aligned with this multi-source hybrid powertrain design. For this project, I will select and size an appropriate multi-input DC-DC converter topology for your sub-1kW power level, capable of seamlessly blending fuel cell, solar, and battery inputs while maintaining the DC bus within motor-safe limits. I will develop a control strategy, implemented in firmware or MATLAB/Simulink control blocks as you prefer, that dynamically allocates current across sources based on real-time availability while prioritizing durability and protecting the fuel cell from current overshoot. This includes managing all six operating modes you outlined, along with surplus-power battery charging and regenerative recovery. Deliverables will include the complete schematic, bill of materials, magnetic component specifications, firmware or Simulink control blocks for the converter and ESC interface. Given the scope includes a working hardware prototype, I would like to discuss your existing test bench, available components, and timeline in more detail to finalize sizing and ensure the build is approached efficiently from the start. I am available immediately to start and discuss further. Best regards, Tahir Electrical Engineer.

I already have a very similar project developed and ready for demonstration. The system consists of a power converter integrated with a fuel cell and includes real-time monitoring, control, and data acquisition capabilities. I would be happy to show you the working prototype, Based on your requirements, I can further expand and customize the existing solution to meet your specific needs, which can significantly reduce development time and project risk. My experience includes power electronics, fuel cell system, MATLAB simulink simulation, and energy management applications. I can provide complete hardware, firmware, testing, and documentation support throughout the project. If interested, I can share additional technical details and discuss how the current system can be adapted to your application.

My approach will be to: simulate the converter topology and current-sharing control loop first (LTspice) to validate against your ±3% regulation and fuel-cell current-slew requirements before building hardware. Then implement STM32 firmware for the six operating modes, build and bench test the prototype, and deliver schematic, BOM, magnetics specs, firmware, test results, and a user guide. I have direct experience with multi-rail DC-DC power design (24V to ±12V/5V) from a DRDO-NSTL mixed-signal platform internship, plus BLDC/ESC motor control work. This project's scope — multi-input converter, source-sharing control, and ESC/BLDC drive — fits that background well. I'd recommend a two-phase approach — design/simulation review, then build — so you can sign off on the control strategy before hardware commitment. Can you share more on your existing fuel cell/solar/battery specs and bench setup?
