High-Level Summary
We are a multi-location organization looking to build a fully automated, scalable, and maintainable Microsoft 365 environment. Our goal is to streamline employee onboarding, assign new hires to specific regions and districts, and enable effective collaboration across the company. We also want real-time performance tracking and robust identity management (Azure AD/Entra ID) so each employee has precisely the access they need.
Key Challenges
Manual Onboarding & Provisioning
Currently, our onboarding relies on manual processes, which creates delays, errors, and inconsistent access assignments.
Distributed Workforce
Employees span multiple regions, districts, and shops, making uniform collaboration and document sharing tricky.
Security & Compliance
We need to enforce MFA, conditional access, and role-based access control across diverse employee roles (executives, managers, frontline workers).
Data & Performance Visibility
We lack centralized reporting on onboarding status, regional/district performance, and real-time productivity metrics.
Definition of Success
End-to-End Automation
New employees receive appropriate accounts, Teams channels, and SharePoint site access automatically within hours of being hired.
Secure Access Control
Azure AD groups, MFA, and conditional access policies are correctly applied to each role (regional manager, shop employee, etc.).
Integrated Collaboration
A clearly structured Teams environment where regional, district, and shop channels are well-defined, and file management is streamlined through SharePoint.
Real-Time Insights
Power BI dashboards provide visibility into onboarding progress, regional/district performance, and key operational KPIs.
Maintainable & Scalable
As we add more shops, or reorganize regions/districts, the system adapts with minimal manual intervention.
