I have created a report in Microsoft Access 2000 which will display the total number of clients that meet the below criteria. Please see the attachment for more details.
1. Number of clients progressing to part-time or full-time work
2. Number of clients sustaining employment or increasing hours of work
3. Number of clients entered or completed Education or Training
4. Number of clients progressing to self employment or social enterprise
5. Number of clients entered voluntary work (of at least 16 hours per week)
6. Number of clients completing voluntary activity of 3 hrs or more
7. Number of clients completing work placement 20 hours or more
8. Number of clients completing 20 hours or more accumulative activity
9. Number of clients who have achieved a major transition and or completed an intermediate activity with a minimum of 20 hours.
The report is currently setup to only count each client a maximum of once. For example if a client meets question 1 criteria and question 2 criteria then they can't be counted in question 1 and question 2.
The query will put the client into the most recent question based upon the outcome date which they acheieved the outcome. For example if a client achieved question 2 on [url removed, login to view] and acheived question 1 on [url removed, login to view] then they would be counted in question 1.
I require a few changes to the report. Please let me know your cost and how many hours it will take. I would really expect an experienced programmer that knows what [url removed, login to view] are doing to do this within 2 hours, however it may take a little longer to familiarize with the project.
The report should count the number of clients in each
questions based on priority's rather than most recent date.
All the information you need is in the table called Appended Data. Just create a query and link it to this table then do your work.
Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4,Q5 will be the first priority.
Q6,Q7 will be the second priority.
Q8 will be the last priority.
If a client has been counted in Q1 and Q7 then they will only be counted in Q1 because Q1 is the highest priority, even if Q7 has more recent date they will still be counted in Q1 as its higher priority. Understand ?
Below is some example scenario's
If a client has been counted in Q1, Q3 and Q6 then they will be counted in either Q1 or Q3 because Q1 and Q3 has priority over Q6. To work which question the client will counted in then you will need to use the most recent date. Remember all the info you need is in the appended data table.
If a client has been counted in Q1,Q3,Q4 and Q7, Q8 then they will be counted in either Q1, Q3 or Q4 because Q1, Q3 and Q4 have priority over Q7 and Q8. To work which question the client will counted in then you will need to use the most recent date.
If a client has been counted in Q6, Q7 and Q8 then they will be counted in either Q6, Q7 because Q6 and Q7 has priority over Q8. To work which question the client will counted in then you will need to use the most recent date.
If a client has been counted in Q1, Q7 and Q8 then they will be counted in Q1 because Q1 has priority over Q7 and Q8.
Priority 1 = Q1 - Q5
Priority 2 = Q6 -Q7
Priority 2 = Q8
All I expect from you is to create a query which will tell me which question each client belongs to based on the above priorities. I am more than capable of doing the rest of the work such as displaying the totals on the report etc.
The final query will need to include the client's id and which question they belong too. For example
Client ID Question
If you have any questions then please post on the pmb and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
