Our SQL Server business applications database has many stored procedures which can benefit from non-clustered indexes and rewriting. I need a Microsoft MVP to study the stored procedures and do the needful to speed up retrieval to less than 3 secs. I have identified a list of these stored procedures and can make them available for study.
I have attached an Excel file that gives statistics collected from a live production database. The "last_elapsed_time" column can be sorted to show the stored procedures that took the highest execution time. These would be the ones to target first. I can setup access to the database to those interested. The database is over 25GB and can't be uploaded for review. From the "statement" column one can see that some stored procedures use views. These are also candidates for rewriting. Our target is SQL Server 2008 R2. Please feel free to get back to me with any questions. Thank you.
