Create & Edit Technical Documents

I’m looking for a detail-oriented technical communicator who can both draft fresh, publication-ready material and polish the engineering and compliance documents I already have. The work starts with focused research—an outline and reference set will be provided—and turns that research into clear, accurate prose suitable for internal review and, when needed, legal scrutiny. After completing the new sections, you’ll refine the existing files—primarily datasheets, user guides, and spec sheets—so that tone, terminology, and formatting remain consistent across the entire suite. Correct citation, copyright awareness, and airtight logic are essential; please flag any gaps or licensing issues before final hand-off. Deliverables • 2–3 brand-new chapters (≈2,000–2,500 words each) • A fully edited set of current documents (≈10,000 words) returned with tracked changes • A short content-strategy note showing how the new and revised pieces fit together Acceptance criteria • Passes plagiarism checks and agreed-upon style guide • All technical claims backed by up-to-date references • Final files supplied in editable Word and print-ready PDF Preferred tools: Microsoft Word, Zotero/EndNote for citations, Adobe Acrobat for markup. Familiarity with MadCap Flare or similar suites is a welcome bonus. I’d like a first draft within a week of kickoff and final delivery about two weeks later, but I’m flexible if you propose a solid timeline.
