A simple app to search HTML files for text and then be able to view the selected results in a browser (both inbuilt or separate broswer)
Being able to choose which folder(s) of HTML files will be searched (and/or sub folders)
Have a search interface (Similar to, or copied from the "SearchableDictionary" example in the android SDK)
Have an option in the search interface to select which of the folders (which were set in "settings") are to be searched.
Search results should display the relative files HTML tag "TITLE".
Search function should search the entire file for text (not just title)
Search options (There should be an option to either search the entire file or just the title)
There must be indexing (folders to contain ~200mb of HTML files and images) and the app must be responsive. Indexing does not need to be fast, but result searching must be almost instantaneous.
Project must be made with eclipse (or easily editable in after)
The project will have two screens: (3 if you count the inbuilt browser)
1) Search interface:
a) entering a search request
b) viewing search results. (this must be live (same as "SearchableDictionary" example) i.e. updated as you type)
c) selecting results. (results must be selectable and viewable in both an inbuilt browser or outside browsers (set in settings) (links must be able to be followed in the browser after selection)
must incorporate selecting folders, viewing and initiating indexing of folders, an about dialogue
See attached for rough idea. (it does not have to look the same, but should incorporate the basic features present)
using an HTML parser may simplify the task e.g. [url removed, login to view]
If it seems to challenging don't bid.
