very simple android programming help

This is a very simple project - essentially I am an amateur android prorgrammer and I want some basic help in creating an animated sprite for my demo app. essentially this project entails: helping me to edit my current setup to include an animated sprite on the screen the sprite is just sitting at the centre of screen the character does not interact with the user, it does not interact with any touch screen, it just animates frame by frame over and over on loop. currently: I am using the AnimationDrawable method which works perfectly However - the sprite is large (250x250 pixels) and has many frames (approximately 30) It therefore eats up a lot of resources and it does not work on less pwerful phones I therefore want: Much more resource friendly system that will allow animated sprite to just animate comfortably on screen that will work on any system I have 30 individual png files and also spritesheets if necessary I have read many tutorials and they are driving me mad! i would like a system that works well with the spritesheet if possible. I am using eclipse 3.7 ------------------------------------ I would like a good teacher and someone who can help write the code so it works with what I already have. Preferably tonight.
