Hi - I would like to collaborate with a mobile developer(s) to create an iPad 2 app (and possibly iPhone 4). The concept is loose, and I'm not even 100% sure it's possible (although some iphone apps are doing something similar).
The concept is to develop an Ipad2 application that allows video chat, much like the native Facetime application on the iPad2. It will simply connect people randomly and allow them to chat in realtime. From what I understand, the latest iOS doesn't allow apps to utilise the Facetime app, but developed apps can access the cameras.
The interface will be spec'd out and designed by me. It will relatively simple with the main UI being a globe that will pinpoint where people are located (using GPS or user-selected-location). A user will then be able to spin the globe and browse all the pins and by selecting a pin, can then bring up a video chat. This is about connecting random people together. However, there would be the ability to 'friend' someone, and you would therefore be alerted to whenever that friend comes online.
I would first like to find a development partner that can verify the feasibility of this project and then I will write a summary funcational brief and design all the screens/assets. This is an experiment, and I would like to approach it as such, but with a very high quality outcome.
I have also recently designed an augmented reality social media iPhone4 app that is currently being used by NYC, H&M, [url removed, login to view], and other large brands.
Please get in touch if you're interested. Please only reply if you are serious and have proof of successfuly mobile & ipad development projects.
Please find a visual of the main screens attached. Individual dialog boxes, error messages, etc will attempt to use these same templates and/or iOS native GUI elements. I will of course support and provide all visuals as needed.
