Hello, I'm software engineer with master's degree in IT. My profile is Intelligent systems programming for mobile, desktop and embedded platforms. I have been thinking about your project and I have some objections about it. The idea and motive is good - save people lives. Problem here is that people don't want to someone or something limit them. For example, everyone knows that driving over speed could be dangerous and even more, it is really possible to pay a fine (penalty) for it. But I think you can see it (I don't think Spain is an exception), almost everyone sometimes driving faster than limit. It's just a reflection, thinking about use case of this app. In my opinion, people will not use it voluntary. At least you want this app just for yourself (or maybe for a few more people which are convinced of rightness of it). One more objection, battery limits of nowadays smartphones are really strict (I have to recharge my phones battery every night). Location services (such as GPS, WiFI or GSM) that are used in smartphones discharging sell phone battery a lot (in some cases times faster), I knew this be cause I tried. Actually I did develop similar app last year (this app changing phone sound mode depends on the place you are - at work sounds off, outside on). But in your case it's worse be cause you need to measure speed constantly (there is not enough just to turn on GPS in every 2 minutes). If you still want this app to be done, please, contact me.
