PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING BID.
So i want to make an iOS app to talk to Philips Hue API. Their API could be found at Philips Hue's developer site. The app will be close/similar to the official Philips Hue app.
- Your bid will be the final price since i have written/attached full details.
- About 30 screens
- For iOS
- Should be written for multi language support (but no translation will be made by the freelancer)
- UI design and wireframes is done
- Wireframes is attached here so you can look at it.
If good quality work you will have the offer to make it for Android after this project is finished.
So the current official app from Philips Hue have a lot of different futures. Like turn on/off/dimm lights, add motion sensors, make rules and schedules and so on. The Philips Hue is build that all lights should be assigned to a room. For example in my personal living room I have 5 lights in the group ”Living Room”.
The main issue on official Philips Hue app, it does not have is the possibility to make schedule/rules on individual lights. On the official app if I create a automatic schedule to turn on lights everyday at 08.00 and turn them off at 11.00 then this is only possible to make this on the whole room, in my case all 5 lights that is assign to ”Living Room”. My goal here is to be able to only make schedule on 1 or 2 lights when they still is assigned to ”Living Room”.
This is my guess will be the largest challenge to do this app. And to be clear, no milestone payment will be released until this feature can be showed to be working good. But do not worry. This is possible, since other third party apps that talks to Philips Hue actually can schedule on individual light. For example iConnectHue on iOS.
The API is well documented and you can find it on the Philips Hue Developer site. The API and SDK is free of use, and only you need to do is register your email. I am no coder at all, but I guess the API only show you how to do this with groups (ex. Living Room) so some out of the box thinking will be needed. So I understand if you want to do some research.
This is the second time I post this project since the last one was not able to do it. But for sure it is possible since there is other apps on the market that actually can. So think twice and please make your research before so we avoid wasting both of our time.
I am looking forward to your answer of this matter. If there are any questions don't hesitate to contact me.
Best wishes, Andreas
