Your focus on creating a relaxed, mellow ambiance for your private party is spot on. Jazz thrives in that vibe. One risk with live music is the disconnect between the musician and the audience, which can kill the mood. If the pianist isn’t engaging or adaptable, it could lead to awkward moments that detract from the experience. I’d start by selecting classic jazz standards that resonate with your crowd, ensuring smooth transitions and improvisation to keep the energy flowing. I’ve done this at various private events, where the right music made all the difference. Revisions and adjustments are part of my process, ensuring we hit the right notes together. Are you open to discussing how we can make this night memorable? I’m happy to provide a free consultation, even if you choose someone else.
