Custom WordPress & n8n Automation

I’m rebuilding a WordPress site from the ground up and need a developer who can move fast while keeping code quality high. The job centres on three areas: 1. WordPress • Spin up a lightweight, secure child theme based on Twenty-Twenty-Four (or similar) that can be cleanly updated without breaking customisations. • Develop one or more plugins focused on enhancing site functionality—think new post-types, advanced meta handling, and finely-tuned REST API endpoints that other services can consume. All code must follow WP-Coding-Standards and be PHP 8 ready. 2. Claude-powered workflow • I’m already using Anthropic’s Claude for rapid code scaffolding. You should be comfortable prompting Claude, refining its output, and dropping the resulting snippets straight into the theme or plugin repository when it makes sense. 3. n8n integration • Build or extend visual workflows that call those new REST endpoints. • Configure AI Agents, Code nodes, and HTTP Request nodes so that content changes on the site can trigger external automations (and vice-versa). Deliverables • Child theme in a version-controlled repo • Plugin folder(s) with documented REST routes • n8n workflow export files (.json) ready to import • A brief README covering install steps, env vars, and sample calls Acceptance criteria • All WP code passes WP-CS rules and lints cleanly • Endpoints return expected JSON, respect nonce/permission checks, and achieve <200 ms average response on local tests • n8n flows run end-to-end without manual intervention If you’ve shipped production-grade WordPress code and can wire it to n8n with your eyes closed, let’s talk.
