Hi, Serdar here from The Colony. I understand the problem: Windows reporting duplicate IPs when UniFi shows only one device on that address, reservations not being honoured, and devices coming up with a valid IP but no internet after boot or wake — across a UCG-Max, Flex Mini switches and Eero Pro 7 in bridge mode. The telling detail is that this survived the move from TP-Link, which points away from the router being at fault. A common issue in setups like this is a second DHCP server still answering. The tricky part is usually that Eero in bridge mode doesn't always stop serving DHCP depending on how bridging was applied, so two servers issue overlapping leases — UniFi sees its own assignment, Windows sees a conflicting one, and reservations look ignored. My approach would be to capture DHCP traffic and identify every server responding before changing anything, confirm the Eero bridge state, then work through PPPoE MTU, DNS and the Realtek power settings. Each change documented so the configuration is reproducible. I'm not in Perth, so I can't do the on-site visit — but with UniFi's remote access and screen-share to the PCs, this is diagnosable without one. A few questions: Q1 – Was the Eero factory reset before bridge mode was set? Q2 – Do reservations fail on the same PC each time? Q3 – Is Fast Startup currently enabled in Windows? Hi, 1. I am available for an on-site visit in Perth. 2. The estimated cost is $238. Those duplicate IP warnings on your Windows machines point straight to a state tracking mismatch between the UCG-Max DHCP lease table and the ARP cache on your Realtek 2.5Gb adapters. Since this followed you over from the TP-Link hardware, we are looking at either a persistent client-side driver state or a VLAN/subnet configuration quirk on the Flex Mini switches. I will SSH into the UniFi gateway to inspect the dnsmasq lease bindings, then check the bridge-mode handoff on the Eero Pro 7 units. I will make sure not to overlook the MTU size for the iiNet PPPoE session, which frequently breaks TCP window scaling and causes that post-wake packet drop. Hi, I've worked hands-on with Ubiquiti network devices, including UniFi gateways, Flex switches, DHCP reservations and VLANs, so your setup is familiar ground. Quick note: I work remotely, not on-site in Perth. Almost everything on your list can be fixed remotely via UniFi remote access + AnyDesk on your PCs, usually faster and cheaper than a callout. Likely causes I'd check first: - Duplicate IP warnings: an old static IP on a PC inside the DHCP pool, or Eero still handing out addresses - Wrong IPs despite reservations: reservations tied to the wrong MAC (Realtek vs onboard NIC, or randomized MAC) - No internet after startup/wake: Windows Fast Startup, and Realtek power saving (Energy Efficient Ethernet, Green Ethernet, Wake settings) dropping the link - Also: PPPoE MTU/MSS (1492), DNS, driver versions and Flex Mini port negotiation at 2.5G For iRacing, Discord and streaming: Smart Queues/QoS for latency, clean switch config, and confirming Eero is in true bridge mode with no double NAT. Fixed price: A$200, done in 1-2 sessions, including a short written summary of every change so you can reverse anything.
