I’m putting together an Odoo-based online store that will specialise in motorsport parts and accessories. The twist—and the reason I’m here—is that I want the catalogue to update itself automatically by scraping my upstream wholesalers’ websites for product titles, descriptions, images, current stock levels and pricing. What I need from you is the complete solution, not just the scraper or just the shop. The Odoo front end should look polished and be easy for customers to use, while in the background a Python-driven scraper (or another approach you recommend) runs on a set schedule, parses the suppliers’ pages, and injects clean, correctly mapped data straight into Odoo’s product tables. A simple review screen inside Odoo where I can approve or edit each newly imported item before it goes live would be ideal. Because this is a niche motorsport catalogue, category mapping and attribute handling need to be spot-on. I’d also like pricing rules that let me set global or supplier-specific mark-ups automatically and log any price changes so I can track margin shifts over time. Deliverables • An Odoo 17 (or latest LTS) e-commerce instance configured for production • A fully documented scraper module that pulls and normalises data from multiple wholesaler sites • Admin interface in Odoo for product review, bulk edits and pricing rules • Job queue or scheduler so updates run without blocking the store • Brief hand-over guide covering deployment, cron settings and how to add new supplier sources If you’ve previously connected Odoo to external data feeds or built compliant web scrapers, I’d love to see examples. Let’s get this motorsport store firing on all cylinders.
