I have set up Linux servers with open source telephony/fax stacks before so this is familiar territory for me. ICTFax specifically runs on LAMP and integrates with FreeSWITCH or Asterisk underneath - I ve worked with both. I can handle the full setup you described: install ICTFax on your Debian/Ubuntu VM, configure your T.38 SIP trunk, set up inbound/outbound fax routing, automatic PDF archiving, and the web UI for queue monitoring and user management. I ll also do email-to-fax and fax-to-email and make sure caller ID, retries, and timezone settings are all sorted. Once everything is working I ll run some test faxes both ways to confirm its solid before handoff. Should be doable in about 4-5 days.
