I’m rolling out an OpenNMS deployment focused on fault management and would like an experienced consultant to help us with the design, and (remotely) assist with the rollout. Scope and current environment • Devices in scope: servers, routers/switches, plus a growing fleet of IP cameras that must raise actionable alarms when connectivity or video streams fail. What I need from you – A review of the planned OpenNMS architecture, scaling approach, and high-availability options. – Best-practice configuration snippets for alarms, notifications, and automatic remediation. – Guidance on integrating non-traditional devices (like some IP cameras) so fault data is both accurate and meaningful. – Knowledge-transfer sessions (screen-share or recorded) that leave our team fully self-sufficient. – Final written documentation summarising recommendations, key CLI/API commands, and any custom scripts. Acceptance criteria 1. All device classes generate, clear, and notify on faults as defined in the agreed test matrix. 2. Documentation is complete enough for a new engineer to reproduce the setup. 3. At least one live session confirms our team can apply the provided methods unaided. If you’re ready to dive deep into OpenNMS and collaborate with a seasoned internal crew, let’s talk.
