Church Website Photography

I’m the leader of our web team at my church and we’re in the process of upgrading our website. We are also looking for a photographer for a few specific needs: Lifestyle photos around the church — people standing and talking outside, moments during a church service (or possibly staged right after a service), and gatherings such as a ladies’ meeting, men’s meeting, fellowship meal, and children’s Sunday School. Include pictures with people in our two historic buildings on the church property. Sunday morning attendance is 50-60 people. We need nice headshots of our pastor, elders, and deacons, along with a group photo of the 9 men. We need a few strong images from the lifestyle category that could work as a homepage hero image or montage for the website. The photos we’ve taken with phone cameras haven’t worked well due to the lighting in our sanctuary and fellowship hall, and we don’t really have the equipment or experience to capture the look we’re hoping for. We do have some examples from other church websites and stock photos that show the style we’re aiming for, which should help provide direction. We want the pictures to be realistic, so we do not think editing or filters of the photos are required, just minor cropping or adjustments, as necessary, For prospective photographers, please send links to samples of photographs that you have done that are similar to what I had described.
