Travel Photographer

A photographer is needed to accompany a wandering travel writer... on 3-7 day forays. Next one scheduled for first week of June-. Location probably Cyprus, or Greek Islands- typically avoiding the most touristic places- but focusing on local culture and natural beauty. The writer never books or plans the travel itinerary very much in advance, often sleeps rough (like on the beach- but if there's a room nearby he can put you in it) , walks and takes public transport or hitch hikes everywhere, sometimes stays in private homes of people he meets- in other words this is not glamourous travel- it is tough on your feet, and you have to travel light- very light- one small back pack. The writer interacts with local people (so not so much with you) and is on the move continuously (except when he is sleeping on the beach, eating or writing) and you need to follow and photograph- stills and vids- and post across social media platforms- usually in the three-five hours every night the writer is sitting in local cafes with internet connections and doing his writing, in some solitude. So you need to be fit, adaptable, somewhat rugged, dedicated, and professional. And preference is for females that are also photogenic and can have their shot also posted from time to time. So it seems difficult- but the writer has done it this way for years and wouldn't do it any other way for the purposes of this assignment.
