A website of mine uses TinyMCE as a text editor.
There are a number of things I don't like about TinyMCE -
1. If you copy and paste text from a Word document or HTML page, the font face, font color and font size from the Word document or HTML page are used. This is making my webpages look inconsistant. I would like my own CSS settings to be used to keep everything the same.
2. The HTML produced by TinyMCE is often dirty and includes excessive use of paragraphs.
I would like a text box where the user can type text or copy and paste text. The rules in my CSS file should be used to keep the same font face, font color and font size.
The following buttons are required - bold, italics, ordered list, unordered list. The buttons work like this -
A. If the user types some text and then highlights that text, pressing the bold button would make the text bold.
B. If the user presses the bold button, types some text, and then unpresses the bold button, the text he typed will be in bold.
And that's about it :)
I'll be more like to pick you if you can show me a mock up.
