The details of the application that we need: We are looking for a web based Online EMR software application which combines scheduling, electronic medical records, prescription writing, letter writing, billing, and image capture functions in a single Application Service Provider (ASP) service. This will allow doctors to go paperless. Doctors will simply go online and log-on to their own personal, totally secure, browser-based database at the start of the workday and capture all their activities like notes, lab results etc for each patient. At the completion of the visit, it is then saved and is immediately ready to be filed as an electronic claim. This new system allows doctors to provide better care for their patients with less work and cost. The system is targeted towards the independent physician or small group of up to 12 physicians. This application will help physicians to provide care to more patients and enable the office to become virtually paperless, improve patient record-keeping, enhance the communication between the doctor and his patients, and eliminate the daily task of filing, copying, data re-entry and transcribing.
