A website intended to allow students of various schools to post their used textbooks for auction (regular and reverse). Buyers will be able to mange their posted auctions, while sellers will be able to monitor their bids. Both buyers and sellers will indicate which book they are selling by searching via title and author keywords or ISBN. And then for Sellers, through a multi-step screen scrapping process of [login to view URL] and [login to view URL], the specific book will be selected, information stored in an Access 2000 database and an Auction started. As for the Buyer, a listing of matching textbooks will be presented. Possibly also, users will be represented with a listing of prices and shipping terms for the specific book from various online bookstores. I can provide greater details later, but right now major functionality consists of: User accounts with listing of sales and bids (or bookmarked auctions) Searching of a book through screen scrapping ([login to view URL] & [login to view URL]) Posting an auction based on specific searched/scrapped book information Auction related functionality Viewing an auction based on (performance conscious) searching of the Access 2000 auction information database Possibly also, the Price bot information scrapping As for the html design of the site, don`t worry about that. Just provided basic output of data in simple html. Please take into account in your bid, that there is not really a business model or plan or anything like that for this project. I just think that it would be nice to have a site like this eh. As such, I am posting this request merely to get an idea of the cost involved and may not accept a bid. Also, I know a little ASP so if you wanted to just do the screen scrapping and auction functionality, I think I could handle the rest. Please see attached file for new details (July 18 3:30)
## Deliverables
Complete source code of all programming work done, with full rights and ownership of the code and IP waived by the programmer(s) and transferred to myself. The code should be well formatted, with limited commenting during complex operations. I would like a schematic of the files/modules/components utilized by the site in some detail, not a great deal. I would simply like to be able to understand how the site functions if I ever really learn ASP.
## Deadline information
I don`t really have a strict deadline, however I would prefer it to be completed in the next month for the coming school year.
