A potential customer gets an Access Violation when an event is called from our ActiveX C++/ATL object into his Delphi 7 application. The ActiveX object's purpose is to read and interpret GPS NMEA 0183 data so access to a GPS with serial cable, or the ability to simulate such a data stream through a serial communications test setup will probably be helpful.
The customer has sent us a sample project to reproduce this problem and we will provide the ActiveX project.
## Deliverables
1) Explanation of why the problem is occuring and exact conditions under which it occurs.
2) An implemented fix in the ActiveX object code in Visual C++ 6.0 (if the problem is with the ActiveX), clearly marked in source code.
If the problem is in the Delphi code, an implemented fix in Delphi 7, clearly marked in the Delphi source code.
If the problem is a configuration issue, a detailed description of changes to be made to resolve the issue.
3) A list of changes made to either Delphi or ActiveX source code and a short description of each fix.
4) Bug fix must resolve the problem in the customer's environment. (That is, it needs to work on the customer's machine, not just the machine the fix was tested on).
5) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
