Program estimates distance between zip codes in a city. This program is in two parts. Part 1 Automate distance calculations using Streets on a Disk program by Klynas software. This is already done, but must be extended to batch process distance calculation for a large number of points. Points will be stored in a lookup table to eliminate expensive computations. Part 2 Create a library for performing distance lookups from a cached lookup table in DLL. Keep several separate tables cached, load/unload cleanly. Possibly share tables among separate processes. Create a test program with a user input form for entering start point and destination point, and result indicators for distance and direction vector. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Attached file contains a program which successfully communicates with Streets on a Disk, as well as some of their documentation on the communication method. Use Borland C++ Builder 6 if possible. Sample code uses MS C++.net. Program will be incorporated into a larger package of dispatch software for tracking field technicians. Runs on Win9x and Win2k.
