(Reposted because we wanted to accept more then one bid and accidently accepted only one...sorry for the spam)
Attached is a small program. It is an ATL Dll project, which uses winsock and crypt32 to validate an SSL certificate.
The code is primarily based off of the WebClient.c sample in the Microsoft Platform SDK in: Drive:\microsoft platform sdk\samples\security\sspi\ssl\webclient. We have also attached this file, but you can find the same if you install the platform SDK.
We have taken this code, and used it to create a class called CSSLClient. This class' sole purpose is to validate an SSL certifcate of a domain without using WinInet.
The DLL project, primarily is a testing shell that runs a loop of a specified amount and tests the code repeatedly.
What we have found is that after 15k t0 20k interation, the code has sporadic failures. The socket errors are normally 10055.
We would like you to review the code and provide the following insights:
1) What is causing the socket errors?
2) How can the code be modified so as to elliminate the problem?
So as to get a wide range of feed back we will accept multiple bids.
This is a time critical issue, fast turn around will receive a bonus.
Thanks in advance for your help!
