This should be simple... Please read, kind of long but you should understand.. I think the root of this issue has to do with htaccess but I dont know.
The goal is to integrate a video script I have into my arcade, I almost have it working, but the arcade script is weird. I just need to get the URLs working right.
Ok. I have an arcade up and running using FlashGameScript.
Because the script uses fancy URL coding and (what I think are complex templates) It is not easy to add another page to the arcade using the existing template. However the developer showed me how to do it.
Here is what he said:
1. Add a new file [url removed, login to view] to folder theme/themeusing/
2. Add the following code to end of file [url removed, login to view] from folder "theme/themeusing/"
(this is a URL,Scriplance wont allow it, its just a function that refers to the name of the file
So what this amazing code allowed me to do was add the above page with a link on the menu, and when I clicked it a new page was displayed using the template. IT WORKED.
So what is weird about this is when you click the link, the page is displayed and the URL in the browser is:
[url removed, login to view] .
There is no directory named FUNC and I never created a page called [url removed, login to view] . So the arcade script is creating this URL dynamicly.
So I added a new page by adding a file to the themes DIR called [url removed, login to view] ( this contains the code from my video script) I also uploaded to the same directory a [url removed, login to view] and a [url removed, login to view] which I think the video script needs. IT WORKS!!! If go to the page, the videos are listed and integrated into the site.. but if you try to play the video you get a 404 because the URL is all wrong.
Here is the link I have working:
[url removed, login to view]
Click on video and you will see the error..
I do not think the problem HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE VIDEO SCRIPT, its all in how the URL are handled by arcade script.
