I have an OScommerce site thats ready to go. I used the easypopulate to upload the product information and price etc and it works great.
The project has two pieces; the first one is to add data to the excel sheet. The excel sheet has price quantity etc but no description. The description are stored in html files. For example, the category A description is stored in [url removed, login to view] or A.php. The way OSC works, all this information should be in the database. So I need to put this info in the excel sheet and upload or have a script written that will do that automatically. There are about 200 items with slightly different four or five attributes.
The second part is to upload the data and troubleshoot it if necessary to make sure it all works.
What I am looking for at the end is that OSCommerce store should show the description when the item is clicked. Please let me know if you plan to do this manually or write a script or suggest modifying OSC php to display the description. Open to all suggestions, as long as the task of displaying info with the product is accomplished in an effective manner.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
