Can't figure out simple paypal AP

Hi I'm a programmer trying to implement the paypal API in my website. NOT the paypal button, but the actual API where you can make API calls to invisibly process credit cards. Right now, I get credit card numbers from my website and have to manually process them through the Virtual Terminal. I want instead for that infomation to automatically be processed via the paypal api to hold/authorize $29.95 from the user's account for 10 days. If you have *experience* with implementing Paypal's API, or you have some code that you can adapt to my paypal account, please respond. I prefer Coldfusion, but will accept PHP, and ASP. Lowest BID and MOST experience wins. Employer Questions: (1) List experience you have with paypal API
