We need a programmer preferably PHP/MYSQl to take flat file(s)(comma delimited) information from our ftp server and format it to be searchable pages via our website.
We are a video store. The database will need to be updated daily from the ftp files. We need a fully searchable pages where customers can have basic quick search and advanced
search areas. Like by title, actor, director, subject (comedy), year, rating, etc. Also a relational database with another flat file that stores all the movies descriptions separately.
We would also like to have it be alphabetically searchable with in subject types, drama a-z comedy a-z ect. with next forward and next back pages.
This is a basic overview.
A. Search box for a quick database searches from keyword with a record results page.
B. Advanced Search page with a fully functioning search selectitions, including , by title, actor1, actor2, director, year, rating, subject, format (vhs , dvd, hddvd, blueray dvd), by
category (video, game, book, audiobook ) etc. with record results page.
C. Dynamic results pages where if the customer is looking at an alphabetical list of comedy movies, they can have say 50 results perpage and then click next to go foward to the
next 50 or previous 50.
D. All search results for the titles will give the custmers results for the keywords chosen. Example if the customer searched for matrix the would get results for matrix and matrix
revolation since the main key word was presend in both results.
E. Basically be able to use any fields from the flat files to use as search results.
