Basically we want an entire portal system built with a client / server program to interface into the system. This system will be used for Online multiplayer gaming. The system will be similar to Gamespy and Xfire but not a clone. We would like to have a better system with much more features that can be added on as the project grows. Partial list of features include : Instant messaging ( with overlay for in game msg'ing) Voip, for communication between clients and groups Chat rooms, with voip and web cam capabilities. Game Server Browser ( with filter options ) Voip room browser Chat room browser. Encryption between the client / server communication. Fully automated tournament and ladder system. Anti cheat protection for tournament / ladder play. Dynamic Sig’s for clan members, ( shows their stats, ranking, etc.) Ability to join servers. Follow buddies in-game ( to the server they are connected to ) This is just a partial list of features, but these should be the most challenging features to inc operate.
