User be able to select certain events from a day calendar in Outlook and send them through a web service to an online database on a web server. Requirements: 1- An Outlook plugin that's available in the Outlook's calendar view 2- Through the plugin, the user selects a few events that they want to export to an online database. 3- The online database is just a simple table in sql server which has three columns, a datetime column to hold the event datestamp, a column to hold the event description and a flag whether the event reoccurs every week. 4- This needs to work across firewalls and proxy servers. The two computers have only the Internet between them. I suggest using a web service and port 80 and use IE's winsock. 5- A configuration file holds info about proxy server to access the Internet and the url for the receiving web service. 6- The receiving computer is running IIS & SQL Server. Example: 1- In Outlook Calendar, a user selects an 8:00AM meeting and a 9:00PM meeting on Monday and clicks on an export option. 2- The plugin knows if event is a reoccuring one. 3- Stuff happens. 4- The table on sql server has two rows. Row 1: 8:00AM, event 1, true Row 2: 9:00PM event 2, false I am open to other ideas to accomplish what's needed. App is in C#. Source code is supplied plus docs on dependecies. All requirements need to be met. I give negative feedback for incomplete work.
