Website redesign

I need an existing web site redesigned and updated ([[login to view URL]][1]), incorporating MySQL and PHP. Some content writing will be required (some texts and a few graphics are ready). The site should include the following: a) A nice simple graphic, banner and outline template created for the front page, used as the basis for all following pages (about 10 pages in total). We will supply some initial thoughts; b) A style sheet to match the main graphic. The site will have (and rely on) top and left-hand side navigation panels. c) Appropriate images will be supplied. There will some content writing involved, which we will work together on. The text will not be long, and initial text will be supplied; d) A simple registration page for submitting basic details (name and email address) for information/newsletter request. The site to automatically inform us by email of new users; e) A page for downloading several technical specification sheets. This page will be displayed only after successful completion of the form/page mentioned above. These pages should include automatic links back to the home page. f) A basic search tool I will give you our URL upon interest. Please bid only if you can show me some recent designs (websites/mockups).....thanks! The succesful bidder will be expected to advise regarding final design of the site. There is future potential to evolve the site with advanced features. 10/23/04 update We extended the bid request because we had considerable problems with emails - many of you were not able to send messages through. Hopefully the ISP-related problems have now been rectified. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Platform: The web page should run on all common versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape and other leading browsers. It should operate on a Linux-based hosting envionment with an Apache WebServer running PHP (3&4) and MySQL. Perl, CGI and SSI support also available. Source code should be Dreamweaver compatible. No Flash, and minimal use of frames, please.
