This project is a framework that displays rotating advertisements on kiosk type systems. For content, they will primarily display Flash advertisements pulled in from a dynamic playlist (either database or XML), A user editable schedule of events (either database or XML), and a scrolling/rotating RSS newsfeed. There will need to be some degree of Content Management. Here are the main components I will need:
1. A "wizard-like" multi-page form that an admin will use to capture user information (including username, contact info, geographic location, etc), and post that to a database. The reason I say "wizard-like" is that it may necessary to use the username acquired from the form to create a matching folder on the server and copy some default files to that folder.
2. An admin page that will display filterable table data and allow the filtered data to be saved as an XML file to the folder created above. This is so that we can create a playlist of advertisements based on geograpic location, or other relevant criteria. The playlist may not need to be an XML file if it is possible to be done with php or other. This playlist needs to be editable.
3. A user portal where they can directly edit their calendar/schedule information. Probably an XML file or database. This would obviously need to be secure (at least in the sense that they should only be able to edit their info and nothing else.
I am happy to answer any questions.
