Job Description:

I'd like to add a? basic Flash header to a web site, and want the animation to be defined by an XML file that has configuration variables.? The XML file should be stored on the web server, along with the Flash SWF file.? The Flash movie would load a title text phrase and/or a JPG logo (dynamically), and display the text in a specified font size and color, and if there is a graphic, display the graphic, too.? There would be a defined behavior for the text and graphic,? ? 1) fade in, 2) drop in, or 3) flow in, 1 letter at a time from right to left.?

Specific requirements:

1. The XML file should be stored on the web server, along with the Flash SWF file.?

2. The size (X,Y) of the Flash movie should be controlled by either run-time parameters OR within the XML file.

3. When the Flash movie starts, it would load the XML file (via a path defined by a run-time variable)

4. The XML file will contain the text phrase to display (like "XYZ Computers, Inc." and a URL path to the location of a JPG logo.

5. If the? logo? URL/path is not empty, the logo will be loaded dynamically.

6. When the text and logo appear are both defined, the logo will always appear to the left of the text.

7. If text is to be displayed, the font style, size and color will be defined by the XML file.

8. A background color of the whole Flash movie may also be defined in the XML file.

9. The text and/or logo would be displayed based on a setting in the XML file, and would? be one of the following:

10. The? animation speed (speed of the drop, fade in, or flow in) will be defined in the XML file.

11. Please create a sample HTML page that will sense if Flash plug-in is available and if so, load the SWF movie.? If not, display a static image

12. The "Repeat" setting is defined in the XML file.? If set for Repeat, the animation will run over and over, otherwise, it will only run once.

Two qeustions have come up that I'd like to answer for all bidders. 1) In regards to requirement #2, this may clarify things: First, the Flash movie will be a pre-set size, currently I'd like to suggest 80 by 800 pixels. Requirement #2 should really be describing where the logo / text should end up in X/Y coordinates. 2) In regards to having the html detect what flash version it is...and displaying a static impage when no Flash plug in is present, I will not have the static image, so you can just create a sample 80 x 800 image to use as an example.
