My company ( [url removed, login to view] ) creates real estate videos, along with other types of videos. What we are looking for is a script that allows us to create a user account and sub-domains for a customer(s) (a real estate agent), and inside that sub-domain we will upload their real estate videos to a template (one main video per page, keeping clutter to a minimum), and then the client can, independently, go ahead and modify the look of the page(different templates, and also add text, pictures and links inside the page very easily.
We would like the site to be a mix of [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view], except for the fact that we do not want to co-mingle other realtors together, however we would like to be able to group together a group of real estate agents from the same branch if requested.
The google map feature used on [url removed, login to view] would be a nice addition as well. If possible the map would show schools, stores and restaurants etc. located around the property.
As far as video format and compression integration, we would like to use a flash player format similar to the one used on the [url removed, login to view] youtube clone script. We are somewhat flexible on this, if you have better suggestions we're listening, but our most pressing concerns are:
A. a cross platform and ubiquitous player (our service is no good if people can't view the listings)
1A. Quality, we want to wow our clients with near high def resolutions, also it would be nice to have various sizes of videos suitable for different bandwidth spectra. If possible we want a “full-screen” function that does not look like the video was put through a meat grinder. We're willing to spend extra on bandwidth and storage(or whatever else is necessary) to get there if it is actually possible. Also the compression used on [url removed, login to view] would be the lowest res we would want to go.
2. Audio is important too, we put a lot of effort into our music and voice over accompaniment, we do not want to scrimp here either, admittedly we don't know much about audio compression in flash but we'd like the audio quality to match the that of the video.
3. We want the controller bar on the bottom of the video to include a "click to e-mail, "click to embed" etc., basically everything on the [url removed, login to view] video player, and presented in a similar fashion. (if easily done, the control bar look and options inside it would be variable and defined by each client.
4. we also want to be able to designate a high quality static image as a "spash-page/splash-image" shown on the video before the user clicks play(not just the first image of the video. If possible it would be ideal to be able to have two images dissolving back and forth between a realtor's "card" and the main photo of the property. This is important because we just are not happy with how these “splash-images” appear on other sites, this is the most important entry point to our content, we want it to look great, not like a number two jpeg from hell.
Keep in mind we have control over the amount and length of videos that are posted so there will not be persistent concerns about bandwidth usage and file size common with community video upload sites.
Another must have feature is a space on the page where users could post public comments & questions that the realtor could respond to on the same page as the video, similar to a yahoo answers.
we don't want viewers to have to sign up to view the videos.
We as administrators would like a simple interface where we could manage client accounts, that allows us to create pages for them and designate different product packages that they have purchased or can upgrade to.
We also need to integrate a space where customers can sign up for (create an account), buy our services and upload photos, videos and other media (uncompressed or only slightly compressed) so our production staff can get to work.
We will supply you with any graphic elements needed to complete the project., and a general look and feel of the template pages.
