The script should function as follows:
Generate a clean collage of images with image catching and low overhead with each image linking to a specified page - dynamically.
•2D Array with following data:
Image file-Image file link location-ALT text for image
•Height and width of collage (I assume one may need to be fluid - height)
•Spacing between images
•My beautiful collage of images linking to their corresponding links
•This needs to quick and efficient
•Images need to be resized so their dimensions are the same as the old images.
Idea Solution Would:
•Generate all images on the backend every so often and save them to a file on my webserver (I could set a cron to run the script say 3-5 times a day)
•Save the html/css part to a file which would be included('') in a different file so everything works together nice and we never have to have the visitors generate the images (which would cause much unneeded overhead)
Things to keep in mind:
We need this to not use lots of resources - I'm using a shared server. We need to keep it secure so that not just anybody can edit the file that the html/css stuff is written to.
