I require a web designer/developer for basic improvements to a newly designed community site powered by Expression Engine. Whilst I have urgent requirements, I'm looking for a long term web design and maintenance engagement. Immediate primary tasks to get the site live: - Updates to css and html to make improvements to alignment, fonts, layout, etc. - Ensure there are no broken links or paths throughout the site. - Fix any missing images or video thumbnails. - Export the latest data from the live site's MySQL database and import into the new site - Have the creative capacity to design/template a few buttons and other general improvements to the design. - Possibly minor adjustments to PHP and/or Javascript. - Do some final testing with us to make sure the site is fully functional before we cutover the DNS and make the new site Live. - Offer advice and feedback on ways to improve the design and functionality going forward. This is obviously all easy for someone who knows what they're doing. However we will require more complex development in the future. January-March tasks: - Ongoing maintenance and improvements to the site's design and functionality. - New page designs. - Possible integration of alternative payment gateways. - Management of the MySQL database if needed. - PHP and javascript coding for any requested new website functionality. The website is hosted on AWS and uses Amazon S3 for static file storage and Amazon CloudFront as a CDN - so familiarity with these solutions is necessary. I will provide Plesk control panel and FTP, however being comfortable with Linux servers is preferable as shell may be needed at times. You must be experienced working with MySQL. You must have good experience with Expression Engine. I want the new design Live by Christmas so I need someone who can do the little tweaks that are needed fast and reliably ASAP. I work in IT & development myself but don't have time to do this. I think there is around 2-3 days needed to polish/tweak it up so I can go Live. The ongoing assistance I need at this stage is uncertain but I would estimate around 1 day a week with the potential for that to increase whenever I have significant new pages to implement. This is urgent so please don't delay in applying.
