We are looking to create a project that can take a text (for example, Homer's Odyssey and render it to graphic flash cards that will each bear sequential filenames.
Here is an overview. Please read carefully as we are looking to incorporate all of these features in a single application. Please price your work accordingly.
1) Import one book at a time, and have the page header include the name of the book and also dynamically generate the chapter number based on the first time a new chapter appears.
2) Preserve text formatting -- for example italics and superscript text are output as such in the final images.
3) We want to be able to choose a background image in front of which the text will be rendered.
4) Adjust font, font size margins, headers, footers, font colors as well as the width of the center margin (we want to have the option of 1 or 2 columns of text per page)
5) Designate insertion points were, for example a photo or image can be inserted on a page in lieu of text -- for the entire page.
5b) Save each file in sequential order with a sequential filename.
**7) The program can be standalone or a plugin or macro that operates other image editing software.**
8) We will pay to acquire any programs or existing code that can be purchased to improve the quality of output and/or increase time to completion.
