There are two thingss that I need for this project to run correctly.
1, ensure that I have setup the dns, MX, txt and A records correctly. I think I did I just need you to vertify this for me.
2, the following:
I want to create a serivce simliar to this service, [url removed, login to view] However, rather than having the customer register a new domain name for each listing, I will create a sub-domain on one of my domains, [url removed, login to view], or http://your-listing.info. For our purpose here, we will not call these sub-domains. We will call them unique listing websites.
Ok, in my mind here is how it will work. Customer buys a hosting account, depending on the package he chooses, it can be one domain (sub-domain) or 20 domains (sub-domains), it doest matter. The process would be the same. After customer pays and it is verified, customer will get an email with account details. This email will be automatically generated by directadmin my server control panel & management.
I need an interface created, you can see a very primitive sample here [url removed, login to view], that would allow the user to insert text into certain areas and then when they push the "submit" button, a two or three page website gets generated.
The first page, would consist of a virtual tour (animated photo album with music) with a link on top that says click here for more info. Once they click on this link, it will take them to a capture form page which they must fill out. Upon completion of the form they will click a button to submit it. They will then be taken to a page that has all the information and details they were looking for. Here is an example of a real listing I have right now. http://2509garrisonvillerd.my-listing.info. See that link on top of the page that says click for more infomation? Well if you click it, it'll take you to the third page. The second page -- the most important page, the capture page -- is missing.
The form mail (page two) is in an iframe and comes from another website where all the captured info gets inserted into a database. When you create the field for this url, if posible, code it so that it will generate an iframe. I just want the user to enter the url and the iframe would get generated once they click on the submit button.
I was having trouble here. Since this page is an iframe and I really do not control the form. I was trying to think about a way to redirect to the third page, the detailed listing information page after they submit the form. I tought about a pop-under so that the page actually opens at the same time that the iframed form page is opened, but it would not be seen until after the form is filled out and the page is closed. But then I thought that that does not ensure that the form gets filled out. I want the person to get stuck on that page until they actually fill out that form and submit it.
1 -- the person lands on the website, sees a virtual tour,
2 -- clicks a link and has to fill out a form before,
3 -- getting to the detailed info.
I want this process to be so easy that a child could do it. I would like, if possible, for the interface/form that you generate to create each "sub-domain". So, for example, if the user had three listings, say 123 East Tenth Street, 10 West 123 Street and 1971 Glencove Ln, there would be an option for him to select "create a new domain". After selecting that option, he would insert one of the addresses, fill out the rest of the form and when he pushes submit it sets up the subdomain, [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], or 1971GlencoveLn.my-listing.info.
After job is completed I need to retain total rights to this program, that means resell etc.
