ID card design application for use on the web. A Customer can either export their card designs as an image to be downloaded individually as image files, downloaded as a single image with up to 8 ID cards on a sheet, or they can place an order and we can print it for them on our ID card printer.
When a user is designing their ID Card using this WYSIWYG online web-based editor, they can make certain changes that will increase the cost of the ID card. Additions such as “Add Magnetic Stripe?? will not only be reflected on the graphical representation of the card design workspace, but it will also be reflected in the price. Some additions are free (add pictures, text, shapes) while others (add magnetic stripe, hologram, barcode) most likely will incur additional charges. Ultimately, once they design their card(s) they can export them so they can print them (free), or they can pay us to print them and mail them to them. If they choose for us to print and mail, then the customer needs to be charged. We currently are using the osCommerce open-source shopping cart software. The card purchases must show up in the osCommerce system, so the user can pay for the card printing service.
There is also a backend aspect of this where the customers will be able to “Save?? cards for future printing, future re-printing, and reference. There will also be a collection of ID Card templates that will be accessible by the program. These ID Card templates will be created by us, and saved to the templates area.
