Job Description:
I am the webmaster of a private community portal. I programmed it by myself, but I'm not a programmer, so the code has grown rather chaotic.
The complete portal has to be re-coded with state of the art techniques.
Templates/Skins (css/html) to easily change the layout.
Modularisation to easily implement new components.
Access/Security-Management by roles.
Localization of the system.
System should be scaleble (webfarm, mysql master-slave replication)
Core Components are:
Editable User Profiles (with Pictures)
Searchable Userlist
Private Messages (webmail integration planned)
Cam-Page (vie ftp-upload)
Forum
Buddy-List
Party-Modul to organize events (calendar, guestlist, mailinglist ... )
Classified advertisements
Chat
Administration section: here admin can login and manage all the announcements, skins, design, advertisement, auction site, users and so on.
Planned components:
Location-Guide (with reports/ratings by users)
Picture-Gallery (with comments/ratings by users)
Event-Calendar (which integrates the existing party-module and the planned location-guide)
