We have an ajax script that basically copies the functionality of igoogle. It's located here: [url removed, login to view]
In a nutshell, we need the script to be modified to make the widgets contain an image or swf file, instead of an rss feed. We also need the widgets to contain a title and a description.
Then the position of the widgets needs to be saved in an xml file instead of in a cookie.
You'll need to use a scripting language (e.g. php) to save the xml file.
Here's some other functionality involved:
1. We'll provide you with an xml file with a structure like this:
-file [url removed, login to view] /file
The type will either be swf, jpg, or text. If the type is text, the the file will be left empty.
2. We want a list of thumbnails showing the entire list of images in the xml, inside a div.
3. The user can drag this thumbnail from the div to the stage and it opens up a new widget, containing the title, file, and description of the thumbnail he dragged.
4. We need people to be able to replace this as well. If the user drags a thumbnail over an already inserted widget, it replaces it.
There are also many more things for this we would like in the near future. And once you complete this, we'll give you more tasks to build on to it.
