• Book Cataloging Database (Using Amazon’s API)
• Member Profiles
• Member Email Accounts
• Book, Photo, and Video Upload Capabilities (Profiles and Books (Covers, Descriptions, Trailers))
• Game Dynamics (Points, Virtual Gifts and Badges)
II) Skills Needed:
• Advanced, compliant, and clean coding in the following: PHP/Ruby (server side programming), Javascript, JQUERY (possibly Mootools if that's what you prefer), HTML, CSS, HTML5 and CSS3-- techniques will be used that need to degrade gracefully in older browsers. • Prior, proven social networking experience is a must. You/your team must be expert programmers who can use our front-end design--which we’ve already built--and make this site come to life. Ability to think outside the box and come up with solutions is key.
• Must communicate in well-spoken English and provide us with regular updates as to the coding process.
• Must have focus on long-term sustainability and user growth. Once the site goes live, we will need an adequate level of support to keep it functioning properly.
