165035 Sosonews, phpfox, amember pro

SUMMARY OF PROJECT:

MAJOR - THE JOB HERE IS PASSWORD PROTECTING ARTICLES IN SOSONEWS PRO TO CHECK IF USER IS LOGGED INTO PHPFOX OR amemberpro.

MINOR - THE PROGRAMMER WILL ALSO CUSTOMIZE THE amemberpro TEMPLATES (HEADER FOOTER) TO FIT INTO THE EXISTING SITE AND ENSURE THAT amamberpro IS EFFECTIVELY LINKED AND WORKING WITH PHPFOX (this is more of a troubleshooting and detecting oversight) but he will also help us transfer/copy existing member registered information from phpfox into amember pro (IF WE HAVE ALREADY DONE) and ensure it is working smoothly.

Description:

--------------

We are looking for a programmer who knows and has worked with the following sofwares:

Phpfox

amemberpro ([url removed, login to view])

sosonews pro ( see [url removed, login to view] for documentation)

We already have a site which is already running. It is using Sosonewspro for the news and article part and using Phpfox for the social networing part.

What we are going to do now is make the site a paying members site.

This is how it should work:

1. We shall now install amemberpro so that members registering for the social networking part (phpfox) will have to pay before they are registered into the phpfox db as members. This is why we are going to use amemberpro.

2. When a user visits the site to read the news and articles for which we are using Soso news pro, we expect the user to be logged into the phpfox (social networking) section. If not, the user will be redirected to the official login page.

So, when a user clicks an article link, Soso script checks PHPFOX's to know if the user is logged in.

3. In Soso news script, articles will be protected based on Categories and Subcategories.

In Soso news script, Categories and Subcategories are dynamically created by admin.

We are expecting admin to be able to, in the Sosonews admin panel, to do the following:

A. Mark which Categories MUST required login (into phpfox) before articles in that Category can be viewed by the user.

B. Mark which Sub-categories MUST required login (into phpfox) before articles in that Category can be viewed by the user.

RULE: If a main Category is marked for login (as above A & B), ALL articles in that category's ubcategories will require login.

IF A Main category is not marked to require login then all Articles directly under it are viewable without requiring login. UNLESS, A SUBCATEGORY UNDER THAT CATEGORY IS MARKED TO REQUIRE LOGIN THEN ALL ARTICLES UNDER THAT SUBCATEGORY CAN ONLY BE VIEWED IF USER IS LOGGED IN.

C. Any category or subcategory created later by admin should have the option for this restrictio setting.

D. All headline lists can be viewed whithout login upon clicking on the category and subcategory links.

It is access to the Artcles themselves that will be restricted.

You must promise us support for a short period since there are usually oversights and errors and mistakes in logic somewhere along the line.

Finally, you will customized the header and footer of amember pro to fit with those of Soso news pro. Then run tests to make sure amember ro is working well with phpfox. If anything is wrong, you will help fix the issue, if it not major.

We need a flexible and tolerant person.

IMPORTANT: You must be able to issue us an invoice for this work. This means you are a company.

Please you MUST provide explanations through PM to us to show you know your thing. DO NOT BID WITHOUT SENDING US A PM TOO.
